Moody's Foundation Dedication
On November 20, 2008, Downtown Hospital dedicated the Moody's Foundation Labor and Delivery Suite, which consists of six (6) private single bed rooms and a ''spa'' like shower facility. The addition of these rooms expands the existing Labor and Delivery Unit, which currently consists of eight (8) modern Labor/Delivery/Recovery (LDR) Rooms, operating rooms, and our renowned Nursery and Intensive Care Unit. Over the years, the Moody's Foundation has been a faithful partner with Downtown Hospital in providing quality health care to all the people of Lower Manhattan. They have enabled the Hospital to upgrade its ambulance fleet; to expand, equip and modernize its Trauma Room; and to obtain state-of-the-art ventilators and anesthesia machines. The Hospital is deeply grateful to the Moody's Foundation for their continuing generosity.
