Weill Cornell Epilepsy at New York Downtown Hospital![]() Our Center is equipped with advanced technology and offers a full array of diagnostic tests for seizure classification and treatment. Our inpatient Epilepsy Monitoring Unit utilizes both video and EEG monitoring to assess the type of epilepsy the patient is experiencing, the frequency and number of seizures, and the onset location of the seizure in the brain. Based on the evaluation, our team of specialists will review with the patient the latest advances in therapies available, including the newest anti-seizure medications, surgical treatment of intractable (hard to treat) seizures, and vagus nerve stimulators. Weill Cornell Epilepsy at New York Downtown Hospital is a joint collaboration of Weill Cornell Medical Center and New York Downtown Hospital. The COPE program offers a combination of health information and education, access to professionals, community resources, and psychosocial support. |
